Practice Group (Drop-in sessions)
The aim of a practice group is to provide support for mindfulness practitioners to maintain their practice. The Tuesday drop-in sessions are for those who have done the mindfulness course here at the Centre or anywhere else. It will give mindfulness practitioners a friendly place to meet their ‘mindful buddies’ and their teacher.
An Insight Meditation (Vipassana) programme is developed by Bhante for the Tuesday practice group. Vipassana meditation will provide practitioners with a deeper understanding of ‘Mindfulness’ and ‘Heart Fullness’ (loving kindness, generosity, compassion, balanced mind), and, Buddhist teachings for everyday life.

The Friday practice group is a drop-in session for those who would like to continue their practice with a group sitting in silence. This session will start by observing the five precepts of Buddhism and end with metta meditation.
The monks will chant Metta Sutta at the end and practitioners have the opportunity to receive blessings from the monks. This group is mainly for Buddhist practitioners and for those who would like to explore more about Buddhism. There is no requirement to be a Buddhist to attend this Friday group. Participants from all faiths and non faith are welcome.
