Who would benefit from Mindfulness?

Who would find a mindfulness course useful? The short answer would be everyone.

Take a moment and think back to when you last felt troubled or in despair. Chances are you were either dwelling on past experiences, or fretting about what the future has in store.

Our energy and vitality is leeched from the present as we find ourselves distracted and troubled by things that have either come to pass or have yet to, and which we have little to no control over.

This in turn serves as a powerfully vicious cycle, cruelly reinforcing our feelings of despair and helplessness.

However, Mindfulness may be of particular benefit to:

  • The business community seeking to maximise the potential of the workforce and management to achieve organisational objectives and have an improved quality of life and work life balance
  • People interested in improving their emotional , psychological or physical well being
  • People experiencing stress wanting to learn to be calmer and regain a sense of control
  • People experiencing anxiety or depression which is impacting on their quality of life
  • People living with long term health conditions who want to learn other ways to self-manage their condition
  • Services working with groups of individuals where traditional interventions are having little effect
  • Parents trying to find a way to balance the demands of work and life and be the parent their children need them to be
  • People battling addiction who want a new way to overcome this challenge
